On the way home, we stopped at a McDonalds to use the restroom and get everyone changed and washed up. This particular shop had a pretty cool indoor playground climbing structure, and Milo went wild for it. There was a really nice little boy there, maybe 6 or 7, who took Milo under his wing, helping him to climb and maneuver around the upper levels. You could probably hear Milo’s shrieks of wild laughter from outside the store. Bitter, bitter tears were cried when it was time to leave.
We never eat at fast food joints, but damn, if there was a McDonald’s around here with an indoor playground, I would totally add that to our list of places to hang on a hot summer afternoon. The AC is icy cold, there’s pretty much nothing on the menu that Milo would eat so there’d be no begging for this or that, and he could run around screaming like a maniac for hours and no one would care.
