Casa de Chaos

Sleepless days and sleepless nights

That didn’t take long

I’ve officially been replaced as Milo’s favorite person in this house.

Yesterday morning, the kid came running into our bedroom while I was still in bed.

“Hi Mama!” he chirped. He started to climb on the bed, then stopped half way up. “Where the baby? Where baby go?” he asked. I told him the baby was in the living room with Mimi (my mom). “Oh, ok,” he said, and immediately started to climb off the bed. I started to sit up a little to reach down and pull him up. After all, morning hugs and kisses with Mama have always been his thing that he needed, even before an episode of his most beloved Thomas the Tank Engine.

“Don’t you want to give Mama a kiss good morning?”

“No,” he said cheerfully as he ran away into the living room shouting “where the baby? hi baby! oh, look at the baaaabeee,” all thoughts of poor old deserted Mama cast aside for the new love of his life.
