Someone I know asked me a while ago why I don’t post as often as I used to on here. I joked that my posting frequency has an inverse correlation to my kid’s increased mobility and vocalized desires. I’d probably post a lot more if I worked outside of the home because there’s always a few minutes of downtime during the office work day, but the only downtime I have at home during the day is when he’s taking a nap. And as much as I’d love to spend that whole two hour stretch on the internet, I try to use it to do more productive things. (Although lately, I’ve just been using those two hours to watch Law & Order seasons 1-8, which has recently appeared on Netflix Instant, hurrah!)

The other reason I haven’t been posting very much lately is because I’ve been kind of busy during the day puking my brains out and otherwise lying on the couch, prostrate with nausea and exhaustion. Yep, I’m pregnant, 12 weeks or so along. The new baby is due within a week of Milo’s birthday. I guess September is my fertile month, you guys.

We went into my midwife’s office yesterday to get the above ultrasound pics, and I told her about my prolonged nausea and how it’s taken me by surprise since I only had about 10 days of nausea during my first pregnancy. She smiled and predicted a girl baby, but we’ll have to wait another two months to see if she’s right.
